Assos is a small and picturesque fishing village 36 kilometers away from Argostoli. It is known for its imposing 16th century Venetian fortress. The fortress was built in 1585, when Assos became the capital of the northern part of the island, and it is a typical masterpiece of the Renaissance architecture. Today, one can still see the ruins of the walls, the house of the Venetian chief-master, military buildings and St Marco's church. The beach of Assos can be described as a "family" beach, as it is located at the centre of the village, facing the peninsula of the Castle, thus giving the impression of a protected lake. It is covered with pebbles and the seabed is very shallow and covered with white sand. Exactly behind the beach, at a few meters distance, there is a row of picturesque buildings, which are cafes and shops. The beach is quite crowded and it is very suitable for children, given that it is very safe.

"Great place - Lydia and her mum for sure know how to satisfy needs and make guests fall in love with the island. One of the last properties on the road down to the famous Myrtos Beach in a small village with great local cuisine - all in all an amazing experience."

"This is a great villa in a stunning location, overlooking mountains and the ocean. The villa is very well equiped with everything you need, very comfortable beds and very clean. You are just a short drive from Myrtos beach which is amazing and a 30 minute drive to Antisamos which is good for water sports. In walking distance from the villa there is a great taverna for lunch or an evening meal. Our host Lydia was fantastic and was on hand to help with anything we needed.
Thank you so much for a great stay."

"Super attentive and responsive, friendly host. Lydia will make sure your stay is exactly what you need. The flat was quiet and calm and as close as you can be to the beach.
This is great place to stay and explore northern Kefalonia."

"Amazing value for money apartment with my gorgeous views right near Mrytos beach! The apartment was super clean and had everything we needed. The views from the balcony were also lovely to wake up to. The apartment is within walking distance to a little shop and couple of nice taverns. Lydia was such a helpful host- she welcomed us there late a night when our flight arrived and was available for anything we needed! She also offered to book our trip for us prior to our stay! Lydia provided a really helpful booklet with the best spots and reccomendations too. I would reccomend hiring a car to fully explore the island but this apartment is the perfect location as a base.
Thanks so much Lydia :)"

"My family and I had a great holiday in Agia Efimia. The apartment was exactly as in the photos, is spotlessly clean, extremely comfortable and had everything we needed for our week long stay. Communication with Lydia and her mum was always excellent and nothing was too much trouble. Agia Efimia itself is a beautiful place and a great location to explore Kefalonia. It's a peaceful resort with great restaurants and bars and within a 20 minute drive you can reach some amazing beaches.
